A Special Birthday & A Lovely Meal

My lovely boss was looking to celebrate her birthday.  She called the resort restaurant of her choice and was crushed to find that they were closed for a private party.  In hearing her disappointment, they offered to ask the party if it would be alright if they accepted our small party off to the side of theirs.  They did agree to it and here is what happened.

We were treated to the most wonderful evening.  We were spoiled with 5 star service and the food was perfection.  The Chef visited our table and brought us an appetizer of seared scallops on pork belly.  It simply melted in my mouth.  He even went that extra mile to decorate a desert for Pattie.

It appeared that by the end of the evening, everyone of Marisol visited our table and made our evening memorable.

The resort photographer shared with us the photo he had taken just that evening at sunset.  A perfect promotion.  He was truly kind and invited us back for another event later in the month.

We will be sure to come back.  The people were lovely, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the food really was the best I've had in a very long time.

It was a very Happy Birthday for Pattie & all of us who joined her!  Thank you Marisol at The Cliff's Resort!

New Beginings...

"True Love should add to your life.
        It shouldn't take from it...
~leaving you to feel even more alone."

Summer is a dream...
It can be a time to refresh yourself
Try on something new...
Go someplace Fresh,
Or go back to a place you know very well...

"Whatever Will Be Will Be"

for you ... & for all of us....

"Que Sera, Sera"

My way of saying... enjoy your summer my friends...

If you are at a time of new beginnings,
Ride that wave of strength to shore...
(now that you have ponied up your courage)
Say to yourself..."never again" < a tattoo I remember :) >
& "No More."
Some will never understand...
Some know exactly from where you come.
When you are done.. you are done.
You can't tell your children one thing...
"Be Strong, Confident, Respect yourself & Others will respect you."
Then show them the opposite view of you.

So when you make that step
Say "never again" & "No More"
.... never surrender your personal power to anyone again....

Be clear of your path...
& walk yourself out into the world...
                                              out that locked cleared door.

 Our SUMMER BEGINS:
a day ago.....

We had lunch in a field out Hausna Road.... These are my sketches....

A Sunday drive out in the country....

while there...
eating in the quiet...

about 26 wild turkeys wondered through
                                            the golden field...

What a sight that was.
               We were eating our lunch...
.........they were pecking at theirs as they slowly scuttled along.

Here are Miss Em's Sketches... She is really coming along too....

"We are learning together... :)"

Her Hand In Mind

I made sketches with Miss Em... while my son did his usual exploring.... It was a lovely day... :)

there was so much to see

Lots!!  When you get yourself out there... you can be amazed by the most simple of things.  A flower in a field, that in fact is just a weed becomes the most beautiful flower.  Then the sight of wild birds in flight above you really can be breath taking....Maybe it was all the fresh air, but I believe that nature when viewed in person is always so much better.

&

It was a warm day.
The wind felt good ...
It seemed in balance with the ever present warm sun.... :)

Fishing at the park was the adventure of today!

Every Day is a New Day.... A Chance for a New Beginning .... or Not...
that is only something you can decide...
Be Healthy, Live Well... SING ... LAUGH.... (giggle even...)
